THINGS TO SEE & DO:

  • Walking tour with the Rick Steve’s App – The best advice we can give for Lisbon. This will cover so much to see and you will learn a ton about the city along the way
  • Ride Tram 28
  • Visit the Belém Tower
  • Wander the Alfama District
  • St. George Castle
  • Visit any Miradouro for great city views and a drink, especially at sunset – our favorite was Miradouro da Graça

FOOD:

  • Time Out Market Lisboa: A great spot for lunch, and and easy place to try lots of different foods
  • Pastéis de Belém: The best place to try pastel de nata – we went for breakfast
  • Santa Restaurante & Bar: A very charming street corner restaurant – depending on the night you can probably hear fado music echoing in the streets

PRO TIPS:

  1. Grab some airpods for the Rick Steve’s audio tour
  2. Sunset really is a special time in Lisbon, so you’ll want to have a plan in advance to soak it in. The Miradouros get crowded
  3. Get to Pastéis de Belém early, there will be a line otherwise
  4. We stayed in the Alfama District and couldn’t recommend a better neighborhood to stay in
