PRO TIPS:

  1. Taking the train between Madrid and Barcelona is different than other train experiences in Europe. There is a passport check and security you must go through before you can board so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
  2. Visit the Temple of Debod at sunset for great views.
  3. The city is really walkable, since we were only there for 2 days we got 1 metro ticket that had 10 rides on it. We were able to share the metro card with everyone in the family so we didn’t have to spend additional money on getting everyone a card. If we needed more metro rides we could easily refill the card.
  4. We stayed in the La Latina neighborhood, it was comfortable and close enough to walk most places!
