PRO TIPS:

  1. For the Metro it is tap and pay, so need to buy a Metro card anymore! Make sure to have a credit card in your digital wallet and have transit mode turned on.
  2. At Milano Market there is no where to sit to eat, so plan to walk to a park to eat.
  3. Water bottles at a food stand outside of The Met is shockingly more affordable than right outside of Central Park a block away.
  4. You could walk through The Met for hours, it is so beautiful and amazing. We really enjoyed seeing paintings from Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock and all of the ancient Roman and Egyptian artifacts!
  5. To really enjoy sunsets in New York, we suggest going to The Empire State Building and The Top of the Rock at sunset and do a sunset cruise to The Statue of Liberty.
  6. Simply cannot express enough how good the cookie is at Culture Espresso.
  7. You can get the City Pass to save you money overall on a handful of activities around the city, we used ours to go to The Top of the Rock, The Empire State Building, our sunset cruise, American Museum of Natural History and the 9/11 Museum. The app is really easy once you buy the passes to go in and select your times for each activity.
  8. You can’t see much of the Plaza Hotel you can only enter one entrance, but you can see a space that is used in the movie Eloise at the Plaza and you can have afternoon tea too!
